How I can help

How we are affected by difficulties is unique to each one of us. With a solid background in Learning and Development and 5 years in counselling, I can help you get to the bottom of your issue and help you understand yourself and others when you find it hard to cope. Together, we can work on strategies to help you develop the strength, the confidence and the ability to feel happier.

I specialise in loss and bereavement, anger issues, relationship difficulties, affairs and betrayals, and self-esteem issues. I also help with addiction issues, anxiety and depression.

Counselling works best when you are comfortable with your counsellor. Therapists are all different – they have their own style, method and ways or working – so it is very important that you feel at ease with the counsellor you choose to work with. My varied experience as an integrative therapist enables me to identify and utilise what works best for you, in a way that ensures you benefit from each and every session you attend.

What does the 30-minute telephone consultation consist of?

Our initial 30-minute phone consultation is an opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking help and your expectations of counselling. I will explain how we will work together and clarify any queries you have– for example the number of sessions, confidentiality, fees and terms and conditions. There is no charge and no commitment at this stage so you will have time to decide whether would like to continue.


Where will the counselling sessions take place?

We will meet in the comfort of my office at a private, safe and discreet location. I take confidentiality very seriously. The Counselling with Lila Warren practice has been designed to receive clients in an environment where sessions can take place in a comfortable office built at my property. It guarantees comfort, privacy, confidentiality and the practicality of parking facilities and easy access to public transport.


What are your qualifications?

I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) – the largest professional bodies representing counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. You can view my status on both the NCS and BACP Registers and websites. Being registered with independent professional bodies demonstrates my credentials and competence as a counsellor.


When can we meet for a session?

I offer sessions at times that are convenient for the busy life we lead. Sessions can be available early morning as well as late evening until 8pm and weekends to fit in with the demands of a professional and personal life. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ are chargeable in full unless there are extenuating circumstances.


What will it cost?

Individual counselling costs £60 for a 50-minute session. Concessions are offered to counselling students if therapy is required as part of training and development.


What if I miss a session?

Please let me know as soon as you can if you will be unable to make one of your counselling sessions. Sessions that are cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are chargeable in full unless there are extenuating circumstances.
